"Singing In The Reign" Oil 28 x 22 |
Spots and shafts of sun
allow the purple reign
close at hand are starfish waifs
that surely stir the brew
of this the clover sings in tune
while droplets add percussion
and tree frog gets in too
conducted and controlled from the tattered purple
singing in the reign
in all their colored glory
a harmony in view

| Double Rainbow" Oil 20 x 11 |
 |
If you could cry me a river
I’ll try a river over you
real or not these fish I caught
have moves from my imagination
my pot of gold
painted impressions help the surface be
above a double rainbow
and through this subtle dance
a view of bottoms chance with light
and in this moment
they so combine to make this movement right

| "Peaceful Bank" Oil 28 x 22 |
Imagine sitting on a rock
looking back to shore
the light is from the afternoon
and here I’ve played with space and shape
and sun and shade
and textures juxtaposed
peaceful bank
is aligned and on the move
a quiet place with raucous possibilities
rotate 90 toward the clock
and watch the shadows play
rotate 90 toward the clock
and watch the sunlight play
rotate 90 toward the clock
and feel dimension play
each a neighbor living within a peaceful bank
and here as thought they stay

| "The Promise" Oil 20 x 24 |
 |
“The Promise”
Vision gleaned a scene
brought to life
a stick to switch directions
from change and peaceful comprise
a client sent the promise
and here the story’s told
of rocks once round
now shaped and textured wishes
as size matter so they do
and another wish comes true
as if an aspen sent became an oaken gift
and here a promise kept for you

| "My Current Work" Oil 36 x 72 |
A scene of logical movement
attenuates to quiet pool
the camouflage of light from surface moves
gives way to detailed rocky grooves and depths
so surely seen
a current work creates the vision
of places walked beyond a normal pace
a mind at peace in memory
just moments from the race
of thinking standing watching racing
water finds its place

| "Golden Armada" Oil 14 x 32 |
 |
A playful gust has launched this fleet of fancy
the first of many in the rule of the shade of the
admiral tree
the vanguard tests these waters
golden armada its heroic handle
cannon fodder beneath its name
sink and float and move
and set the stage for the overwhelming numbers
yet to come
the admiraltree in the rule of its shade
as proven in the spring and summer sun
readies the launch of fall
to cast the plan of shadow all as one
but as they leave the admiraltree the plan is shattered
scattered as leaflets in the wind
the rule of shade is folly
as the admiraltree falls to leaves without a thought
sinking moving floating
casting countless shadows
from its skeletal roots
as always in this season
in the valley ruled by sun

| "A World of Difference" Oil 18 x 24 |
Shade and sunlight play
rocks wet and dry defined degrees of such
under the water surface
and rocks that surface up above
bottom to the top
and on t he surface the sky is seen on earth
and on the drier ground
are found a needle and the leaf
a slight relief to balance each rotation
while each performs its duty
they bring the eyes to earth
just another picture?
and these words for what they’re worth

| "Shoreline Treasures" Oil 16 x 20 |
 |
Sound memories
of treasures sought along the waters edge
wishing stones and shells
whatever catches eyes a prize
here on a record day
with hand in mine I’ve walked this way
up the beach and back to see a change each day
shoreline treasures fill the moment
but those hands are best in memory

| "A Glass Act" Oil 24 x 18
|
“A Glass Act”
The star reveals a journey through
its scarred transparent surface
a glass act plays the sun from
worn and tumbled facets
staged and textured qualities
reveal their depths
and hold the shadows run
flora
fallen pieces bit parts
captured from the wings
for moments on this stage
a peace filled mind felt scene
acts before the storm of winter next
then moved by roaring waters
brought by spring
a nature play
this scene so surely vexed
