“I take great pleasure in the wood carving process...
from concept drawings and composition, to taking a block of wood and carving away everything that’s not the intended subject...and then being able to see the final sculpture with a creative eye before it is finished. Throughout every stage of the carving process the subject becomes more and more life-like as it takes on it's own personality. The subjects that I carve are based on my life as a sportsman and Master Falconer. My greatest reward is the personal connection and emotional responses from those who view my sculptures.” |
